I’ve made a couple things, but mostly I’ve been crappy and sickly.
I still don’t know the point of the cubes, but people seem to like them. I like the zipper pulls; at least they have a function…
It’s Kaneda’s (of Akira) Capsule Gang pill jacket. Sort of. And I made a little pill zipper pull because I forgot it snaps. Derp.
I haven’t felt like making anything since just before Christmas, but yesterday, all of a sudden, I did. Ever since I got this red Calvin Klein sweatshirt hoodie I’ve wanted to put something on it, so a Luna P from Sailor Moon seemed just the thing. I made the Crisis Moon Compact a while ago, and it was the perfect size to cover up the CK logo on the front!
Health from some of my favorite video games: A Resident Evil green herb, L4D medkit, Duke Nukem medkit, and a F.E.A.R. medkit. YAY! These are for my nephew instead of the silly box, but I might make some more for Etsy.
It was a weird craft day yesterday. First, I told myself I was going to take the day off to game. But Steam kept freezing and I couldn’t get to L4D2 (Steam kept saying “game unavailable at this time”) so I spent the morning futzing with the PC. I finally got Steam to work, but not L4D2, so I decided to get to work on presents around noon. Then I got in a groove with five episodes of S2 of “Downton Abbey” and these are what I made when I wasn’t looking.
There’s a Afro-ceratops from the future trinket box for my nephew (with removable afro!), a felt cigarette case made with my gorgeous new patterned felt for my sister, two felt “belt” bracelets for my niece who’s crazy about houndstooth, the beginnings of a Half-Life-themed keychain/backpack charm/zipper pull (those are Gordon Freeman’s glasses) and a random felt bag. (I needed something to do with my hands while WWI raged and the Dowager Countess snarked.)
My latest sewings. First, the Giga Pudding plush has climbed to the top of the tree. Because I sold my Mario star topper right off it. Then I made a little Giga Pudding ornament/zipper pull/backpack charm to go with it. And a devil, which started out to be a Rise of the Guardians-esque elf and went evil. (From hanging out with Slenderman, I suspect.) And a chibi cafe au lait mug. Then there were some fat kitties, a Bastardino, and finally a bigger 3-D Bastardino with a pot. (It’s a crappy candle my realtor gave me. I haven’t burned it up in eight years, so I think it needs to be melted and poured out and given to the cactus pup.)
Today’s ornaments: puffy owl, Lumpy Space Princess, Mario star. And I made my daughter a Giga Pudding plushie! He’s just hanging out under the tree for now.
