…that when I get my hands on some more embroidery hoops, I’m going to try my hand at textile portraiture, a la http://365luckydays.blogspot.com/. The subjects? The wanderers of my town. These include Towel Neck (he has one stiff leg, yet walks the town from end to end daily, and  always with a towel around his neck), The Whindian (he’s got the biggest collection of wolf/full moon/busty squaw t-shirts known to man, and wears his hair like Willie Nelson, or Snoop Dogg, if you’re inclined to see it that way, but I don’t think he is), and Butt (because we saw him once wearing a pair of pants with no back to them. I guess you could call them chaps, but they were just assless sweatpants and he wasn’t wearing underwear). If these names seem mean, then perhaps immortalization in fabric will help make up for that. Not that I call them these things to their faces…
